The City of Springfield, Massachusetts has made several contributions to the history and the culture of the United States of America. It’s home to the Springfield Armory Museum. The Springfield Armory played a major role in supplying weapons and ammunition to the Massachusetts 54th Infantry Regiment of Buffalo Soldiers.
Being the birthplace of Basketball, a sport enjoyed throughout the United States and worldwide, Springfield is host to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
